Renewed flavors boost
pysches starved by wintry blast
of grey solitude.

signal ice tea memories

'"The Pleasure Of Her Company"
I gaze into eyes that have
survived tortures untold,
miseries of the body and
spirit not of her creation.
In muted tones I sense
her anguish, though hidden
deep within a demeanor
of roses and cream. Her
smile could heal the most
profound sadness, how can
it be that she cannot see
the beauty that is hers?
I've been blessed by
this earth angel, her wings
enfold over my travails
and carry me to the haven
of a sacred friendship. My
heart beats more vibrantly
since our paths entwined;
her outstretched hand
warms my soul. My eyes
leak trails of blue-tinged
tears, so desperate am I
for her health to return.
Compassion flows easily
between our auras; she
will stay in my thoughts, as

I'm hoping the Houston Texans show no mercy against the winless Detroit Lions. This is an opportunity for the Texans to bounce back with a 2-4 record and two wins in a row, while the Lions would fall to 0-6.
I feel bad for Detroit fans, because ever since the Houston Texans started as an expansion team in 2002... Both the Lions and Raiders have fewer wins than the Texans since that time!
The Lions have been the worst team in the NFL since 2002.
I almost feel bad for the Lions because they're awful on both sides of the ball - offense and defense.
They almost had no choice but to trade All-Pro wide receiver Roy Williams to the Dallas Cowboys, because at least they stacked up on future draft picks ( first-round, third-round and sixth-round picks ).
There was no way Roy Williams was going to re-sign with that horrible Lions franchise when he became a free agent following this season.
My prediction for Sunday's game...
Texans 37, Lions 10.
Don't hold me to that score though, LOL.
I'll take a win of any kind!
The Texans are fresh off their dramatic 29-28 win over the Miami Dolphins last Sunday, and the Texans committed four turnovers, otherwise it would have been an easy blowout win for the Texans.
I really feel those two heartbreaking losses the Texans suffered against the Colts and Jaguars, in which the Texans blew the lead late in the game during both games, really woke the Texans up!
Now I expect the Texans to win five games in a row against the Dolphins, Lions, Bengals, Vikings and Ravens.
That would give the Texans a respectable 5-4 record through nine games, and so far so good... They've beaten the Dolphins and now the Lions are next on the list!
The Texans will start to look like a more focused team.

My window looks much stronger than before. The glass is stronger and can probably withstand a lot.
I didn't see any leaks to any of the new repairs, so that's good.

Just a minor storm that seems to be passing through the area, but this is the hardest it has rained since Hurricane Ike hit back on September the 13th.
In fact, we've been in a rain drought for the past three weeks.
Of course, this is just heavy rain with little wind.
During the hurricane, we were getting hammered with fierce wind and rain that damaged a portion of my house.
The only problem, is this heavy rain right now is a good test for my new window, not to mention part of the roof on my house... So far, so good!
I can hear my window giving this weird sound though... Almost like a slight rattle like it's shaking. LOL, crap this better be a good window because I was told it was built to last!
God forbid, there's another hurricane the magnitude of Hurricane Ike next year. Truth be told, we should be preparing right now for the next time.
Oh good, the rain stopped now!
Wow, it only lasted 30 minutes and now I see a beautiful rainbow outside of my window! Oh my God, it's like the best rainbow I've seen im my lifetime!
